A Woman Talks About Male Friendship

I've got a question for everyone that has been pressing on my mind for a bit. Can men and women be friends? I mean true friends without any preconceived notion of a sexual relationship?

I don't know if you've been following my Twitter updates about home dude who lives next door who chases women. ALL WOMEN! I've sufficiently put him off because I figure he's a man whore who chases p*ssy as much as he chases money. Now he asks my husband will I ever speak to him again. The answer is "no" because of his inability to treat women as mere sex objects.

It seems a person of this character hasn't a clue as to what it is to have a friendly relationship with someone of the opposite sex. But does everyone have this problem? Though most of us do not overtly give the "vibe" of pursuing a person of the opposite sex (or same sex), do we still give off signals? In the way we dress? Speak? Demeanor? Just the fact that you're an outgoing type of individual, chatty and such, can give folks the impression that you want to bone them! (LMBAO)

I don't know...what do you think?

  1. I think we can be friends. I have alot of female friends who I value but that does not mean that I didn't want to "have them first" I dig in a few cases. Some wanted to "have" me! I even had a so called cougar who wanted just a younger cougar but to raise me. She's always looked out for me and speaks to my Wife respectfully. It's possible just hard!

Now, Man-Whore! He is not! He's a connossuier of the fairer sex! 8-)

  2. (LMBAO)!! No man-whore, huh?? I just saw him get picked up by one of his floosies a few minutes ago...stinking of Old Spice! And then there's tonight when the entire entourage comes to his place for various "activities." (LOL)

Wow! This woman is friendly with your wife? Does your wife know she was "after" you? My husband has a hard time dealing with those he deems wanted more than friendship from me: maybe he could take some pointers from y'all.

I find it hard to believe that after you've had the goods, that you can return to a friendship status. Is that true? Or is it just me?

  3. Hi there..I think it is possible. Like the reader above said its hard but possible. But yeah some men or women will try to make the first move until you tell them to step off! If you don't say anything they will be persistent until you tell them it ain't happening...

  4. [ky'ut][sär-ˈkas-tik][chik]: First of all, thank you for coming by and commenting!

It is a very tricky situation at best. As hard as we might try, a little bit of sexual tension can be present within a friendly relationship. I think this is natural. But how do we control the beast, and keep from crossing the line? And after that line is crossed, can you still remain friends?

Please let me know what you think!
